Chicago Skyline Engagement Session

I have a lovely engagement session to share with you today featuring an adorable couple and the gorgeous Chicago skyline! Molly is from the east coast and Danny is from the west coast. They met as undergraduates at college in Boston and then moved to Chicago a few years later so Danny could continue his education and get his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.

Because Chicago plays such a big role in their life right now, Molly and Danny wanted to capture their engagement photos in the city to commemorate their time spent there. Molly wanted to capture both an urban and a natural vibe for their engagement photos, so we found the perfect locations outside of downtown Chicago to achieve both. We first started at the Lincoln Park Zoo where we walked around the pond and admired the scenery and the beautiful flowers. This is also where we explored the “tortoise shell pavilion” which had such unique and interesting architecture and allowed me to create some really fun portraits for them. We then made our way over to North Avenue Beach where we were able to get beautiful photos near the water for Molly and Danny, complete with the stunning Chicago skyline behind them! It was a great way for them to feel like they were out in nature, but to also have an amazing cityscape in the background. It combined all of their favorite things and their favorite city into one. Their interactions were so adorable to watch! Danny always kisses Molly on the tip of her nose when he’s feeling really affectionate, and it never fails to make her smile.

Molly and Danny will be getting married in Beverly, Massachusetts next June at Misselwood Estate which also delivers a stunning oceanfront setting. It’s going to be a beautiful day and I am really looking forward to it!

At the heart of my work is a belief that wedding photography should feel as meaningful as the moments themselves. Whether capturing the quiet, intimate exchanges or the big celebrations that bring everyone together, my work is guided by artistry, empathy, and an intuitive understanding of what matters most. And with over a decade of experience, I have perfected my role as a wedding photographer to extend beyond the regular documentation — it’s about creating space for all couples to feel supported, present, and fully immersed in their experience.
