I have a dreamy, romantic engagement session to share with you today that I had the pleasure of photographing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Xuyen and Jimmy are such a sweet couple! I really enjoyed getting know them and hearing all about their love story. They are both from the same town in Vietnam, but were living several states away from each other during their engagement. He lived in Louisiana and she was in Michigan. They were so thrilled to finally be able to tie the knot and get to live together after having been long-distance for so long. It was beautiful to hear how they have overcome the challenges of not getting to see each other for months at a time over the course of their relationship. I loved seeing the sweet connection they share and knowing that love would prevail and ultimately bring them together.

Xuyen and Jimmy love both the city and nature, so we chose to photograph them at two locations that represented some aspects of each style. We started at the University of Michigan’s Law School and then brought out the couple’s softer, more romantic side in the country. I was so thrilled with everything about this engagement session!
