Jayson and Karissa have the sweetest love story. Karissa was working as a receptionist at a hair salon shortly after moving to Texas when Jason first saw her. He couldn’t wait to see her again, so naturally he went back for another haircut the next week, and the week after that… and the week after that. His friends joke that his hair never looked better since he was getting haircuts three times a week by the time Karissa agreed to go out with him!
During those first few months of dating, Jayson was living on a boat. The couple told me about all the memories they have snuggling up under blankets in winter time with only the heat of a little space heater to keep them warm. I love what a sweet, adventurous couple they are! When it came time to plan their wedding, it seemed only natural to have a destination wedding with a nautical influence because so much of their relationship had been literally on a boat on the water. They had a destination wedding on Sanibel Island in Florida in the fall of last year, despite their plans having to be changed at the last minute due to the destruction of Hurricane Irma. I love how these photos really capture the warmth and beauty of their love and are just overflowing with romance!
