Intimate, At-Home Maternity Session

I am so thrilled to share with you this intimate, at-home maternity session that I photographed for a beautiful, expectant couple. One of the best things about maternity sessions is that they invite us into a special time in a couple’s life-–the serene, meaningful moments just before the little one comes into their world and changes it forever. Rory and Jason wanted to capture this time as it is right now, and for this reason we decided a cozy lifestyle session in their home was the perfect choice.

Rory is a fellow creative professional which was such a fun aspect of this shoot. She designs jewelry for her company, Rory Ashton Jewelry. She has impeccable taste and style! I love how her minimal, sophisticated diamond pendant necklace added just enough sparkle to her overall look. I also absolutely loved Rory’s gorgeous white lace intimates and cozy sweater. She kept it casual and soft, while also feminine and flirty. I thought her selections made the photographs feel intimate and warm.

One of my favorite things about lifestyle sessions that take place in a couple’s home is the ability to capture their style and aesthetic. Rory’s and Jason’s minimal, sophisticated furnishings really complemented their Texas home beautifully.  I also loved how much light their home got from all of the big windows in each room! Their space is truly beautiful, and I really enjoyed capturing them in it.

At the heart of my work is a belief that wedding photography should feel as meaningful as the moments themselves. Whether capturing the quiet, intimate exchanges or the big celebrations that bring everyone together, my work is guided by artistry, empathy, and an intuitive understanding of what matters most. And with over a decade of experience, I have perfected my role as a wedding photographer to extend beyond the regular documentation — it’s about creating space for all couples to feel supported, present, and fully immersed in their experience.
