Lucy and Jonathan’s Brooklyn Bridge Engagement Photos in NYC are getting a lot of love on Pinterest lately, so I thought it was time to bring them to the blog as well!
It was a beautiful spring morning spent at one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks. You can just feel the energy these two had – both from being so in love and from being at such a monumental location. We first started shooting on the Brooklyn Bridge itself. Once it became too crowded, we changed locations to go walk around DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) and get the iconic shot of the Manhattan Bridge in the background.
I love that these two chose to take their engagement photos here. At first we were planning to do a destination engagement session, but ultimately they decided they really wanted to have pictures captured in a city that means so much to them.
Lucy is actually from England while Jonathan grew up in Brooklyn. Luckily, the fates aligned for these two and they met while out one evening in NYC! They both call New York home now, and since it is the city that brought them together, they wanted to honor that and capture their engagement photos somewhere they’d never forget!
It was such an honor to be a part of telling Lucy and Jonathan’s love story. I’ll be sharing their destination wedding on the island of St. Thomas soon, so stay tuned!
