Chic Urban Wedding at Brake & Clutch Warehouse | Dallas, Texas Wedding Photographer

The “Smarks wedding” was such an amazing and beautiful wedding day! The cute nickname comes from the combination of the bride and groom’s last names: “Sparks” for Rachel and “Marks” for Jonathan. Rachael first told me this anecdote when she first reached out to me and I knew with my love of creating nicknames we were destined to work together ;-). I always like to ask how my couples first hear about me, and I was so pleased to hear in this case that Rachael and Jonathan reached out to me by recommendation from their wedding planner, Pam Hill of Twigs and Twine Events. I had the pleasure of working with Pam previously in 2016 for Katelyn and Lance’s elegant backyard wedding and I just adore her and her work! I knew if Rachael was using Pam’s services, that it was going to be a beautiful day!

Rachael and Jonathan are both so down-to-earth and easy to work with and their connection is undeniable. I could feel their love for each other from Rachael’s very first email to me, “Jonathan and I met over a year and a half ago, and it was clear after our first (six hour) date that he was a pretty special guy.” Jonathan was so happy watching his beautiful bride walk down the aisle– his sweet expression says it all! Rachael is such a genuine and humble person. I could tell she didn’t love all the attention of being in the spotlight, but she truly glowed on her wedding day! She has such an effortless beauty about her, and she brings light to any room.

Rachael and Jonathan really wanted a laid back celebration so they chose a venue with a downtown city vibe where everyone could hang out, dance, and have a great time. Brake and Clutch Warehouse is located in Deep Ellum which is a neighborhood in downtown Dallas composed largely of arts and entertainment venues. It’s a really cool area of the city that was a perfect choice for this fun couple. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this Rachael, Jonathan, and their amazing wedding day! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. “Smarks!”
