Red Rock Editorial Shoot | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

I have a gorgeous wedding inspiration shoot to share with you today featuring the stunning desert landscapes of Red Rock Canyon. We wanted these photos to really showcase the rugged beauty of the desert. Ambra of Query Events and I dreamed up a storyline to guide us and our other vendors throughout this shoot. The narrative begins with a bride getting ready in a hotel room on her wedding day, having a cup of tea and adding the finishing touches to a love letter addressed to her beloved. She gets in her car, checking her hair and makeup, then drives out to the desert for her bridal photo shoot in the “golden hour” before the sun goes down. The final scene shows her driving off into the sunset, on her way to marry the love of her life!

The aesthetic for this shoot was both soft and sultry. The day started out with the feeling of a boudoir session, but with elements of grace and sentimentality. We kept a fairly neutral color scheme, playing off of the colors of the desert surroundings, but in more muted tones. I love how the austere landscape contrasts to the delicacy of the flowers in her bouquet. The gown in particular was a show stopper! The sheer lace was both sexy and elegant, and the long, flowy veil gave our bride’s whole look a dreamy quality. Also, how cool is that car?! The sleek, black body with red leather seats and miles of open road in front of you? Sign me up! Then draping it in the lace of that gorgeous veil completely changes the look and suddenly makes it feel romantic. My team and I had so much fun coming up with something really different to inspire brides who may be slightly non-traditional. I hoped to show them that they can have dreamy elegance and a sultry feel all in the same day to make their wedding a true reflection of them.
